How much does a maid in a hotel or retirement home make on average?

I'm searching for a new job, Does anyone know how much a maid in a retirement home or Hotel makes?

well it would depend on the area and the hotel and the type of hotel you were looking into. I dont live in a touristy area but i work for the hilton family and they make around 8 dollars an hour plus tips. The more upscale place you go the more likely you are to get tips and more per hour. If your talking like a motel 6 then maybe 6 pr 7 an hour dont count on tips and usually when you work with the elderly you will make more it just depends on the minimum wage in your area.
