♥Laydee-D♥
Can you switch from full time to part time work?
Asked by ♥Laydee-D♥
Hey Guys, I'm almost 18 and I've been looking to work full time because I'm not in school right now. But then i'll be going to college in September, and I won't be able to work full time. I was wondering that when I get a full time job if I can switch it to a part time job because of my classes. Or would the best thing be to start applying for part time jobs only now?

Only your employer will be able to tell you that. I would just approach the situation in a professional manner. A lot of times, companies understand when their employees (especially younger ones) go off to college, and are actually pleased that they want a part-time position and don't quit on them all together. If you're just trying to get a full-time job somewhere else if your school is in a different area, I would suggest applying for just a part-time job. This way you and your employer know what you're getting into right away. There's no deceiving. Hope that helps.
