James Q
what is the difference between a certified medical assistant and a registered medical assistant?
Asked by James Q
I have the qualifications for an RMA but not a CMA though i hear that its harder to be registered than certified. Also how hard is it to challenge tests for each of these?

Certified means you have taken the national certifying exam...did you take such an exam for registry? If so, then it may be two separate agencies. Can you ask where you went to school or call the aghencies & ask. And I am not sure you can challenge tests--you usually have to take them--that's the whole point.
ER PA (I am a MA instructor but we do not have RMA where I live; only CMAs)
