You are a District sales manager and you are overloaded with information that you need to compile into useable data and you are looking to use Excel to help you do this. how will you determine where to start and what tools can you use within Excel to help you organize everything and make decisions?

The first thing to do is find out what data that you have and organize it according to priority. You need to decide what you want from the data and then act accordingly. Keep what you need and ignore that which you don't need. Your question is a little vague in what type of information you have and what you want to accomplish with the data. As far as what tools to use in Excel, that would depend on what type of data or information you use and what you want to get from the information. Most of us who use Excel regularly use the sort, sum and formula's to get the information we want. There are a number of tools available within the software. Again, it depends on the type of information and what you want from the data.

First of all! Sort out the data! to make it an INFORMATION. Useless data keep out...... You can use excel formulas, sort, validations, Filters, Formating or graphs to organize and analyse the data and also can use seperate sheets for each area or unit etc. Regards AAMIR

Do not look into excel first. Try to sort it out from the whole bunch of info. Btw, data key in seems like not a task tat is supposed to be done by a sales manager..
