What type of phlebotomist is paid the most?
Asked by Pretty Lady
I heard there are 3 types. Phlebotomy I, II and II. Also, is a Medical Lab Technician a phlebotomist?

A:
Best Answer:
A phlebotomist III, being the most advanced and experienced, would earn the most. The phlebotomist pay cap is not particularly high. In general, phlebotomists make between $7 and $11 per hour depending on the location. But, it does help you get into the laboratory if you're needing some entry level experience. While Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) may occassionally do some phlebotomy, MLT and phlebotomist are two separate positions. MLT is a technical position requiring a college degree and a nationally recognized certification.
