Asked by Jim
Im 18 I graduated last year, and ive been working at a grocery store for almost 2 years. Is there anything a security company would want, I dont really think I should bring a resume since I could sumerize all my work experience in 30 seconds? What do you think I should bring? I worked in security for about 10 years. All you need to bring to an interview is a picture ID and your social security card.I can tell you that it will be a major plus if you tell them you are planning on taking a criminal justice course,as it seems to show them you are interested in that line of work. Most security work is boring, but I can tell you if you stay in it long enough, you will have weird stuff to happen that you will have to use your training for.Good luck and I hope this helps.

I have worked as a security officer at various times. Take your HS diploma, social security card and drivers; license. Take your resume, it won't hurt. Also, on a separate paper, list your references, name, title and phone number. You should know, the security firm will probably run a police background check on you and also request a drug test.
