If you don't like science I'm not sure anything in the dental or medical field would be good for you. Depending on what classes you have taken in high school, you will take some general classes such as algebra, pych, sociology, speech, english/composition, electives, biology, chemistry I and II, and microbiology (a couple of them), anatomy/physiology I and II, head and neck anatomy, histology, pharmacology, periodontology which basically is the study of gum disease (which you need to have science knowlegde for), radiology, nutrition, medical emergencies. Also labs/clinics that you work with patients. Basically your whole degree is in science. Your actual degree when you graduate with be a associate or bachelors in "applied science". This is what my degree says. Then you will take the board exam to get your lisence in dental hygiene.
