going to school for a medical assistant or pharmacy tech?

looking into going to a career college... seems like both positions make about the same. the medical assisting program is however about 7 months shorter than the pharmacy tech.

If both has the same core curriculum do both. When you complete the medical assistance program, continue on complete the pharmacy tech program. Otherwise, if you're a people person who doesn't mind patient contact, such as touching patients, the medical assistant program will be good. This can lead to unit secretary in hospitals, and working in doctors office. However, if you're like me who doesn't want to have patient contact, pharmacy tech is a better choice.

I would take medical assistant I know here in nova scotia they make like around 14-20$/hour and a pharmacy tech makes like 11 or 12$/hour. But it really depends on what you like the most and if your looking to go to university to become a pharmacists later on if so than take the pharmacy tech course you might be able to Transfer a few credits from that.
