Has anyone done an internship for Verizon Wireless?

I was thinking about applying for an summer internship with Verizon this summer. Im graduating this May but thought maybe an internship might be the way to work myself into this company if I liked it. I have never done an internship and am graduating with my bachelors in 4 months so I kind of want to get some experience in my field before I go and apply for a full time position somewhere. Do you think this may be a good idea to start out?
