What do you think of this idea to create jobs for the USA?

We need to build more nuclear plants at least 26 to 27 to stead ahead everybody else. Plus! We need to start drilling off our own shores, in our own states: Texas, Alaska, and anywhere there is oil. I Also feel this is where the money should be spent too. Tell what you think how can we the people get this message out there. USA comes first before we can help others again. This would create new jobs and bring our country money market back up. I meant to stay ahead We can still keep the jobs that are overseas, and still create these two jobs here as well as, use very little oil from overseas, while we use our own here and build nuclear plants while we are creating new jobs and cash flow

I am all for the added nuclear and oil drilling (and fuel refineries too - don't forget those). The only problem I have with your question is that the US has always and will always rely on foreign trade and investors to make our economy go (just as they rely on us). It would be nice to put up a wall and yell FTW! but in the end it would hurt us more than it helped.

It is going to be very hard to get Corporate America on board to bring jobs back overseas. First, there is the tax incentive not to bring jobs back. Most companies produce most of the product overseas and ship it back to the US to be finished but do not have to pay taxes on it becasue when it is shipped to the US it is an unfinished good. Also, people overseas will work for a whole let less than any American would. Even in this recession I often hear of people to proud to take a job below them. I am not saying all people, but most would rather keep looking for that big paying job than take a job for $20,000 less than they used to make.
