I work as a account manager and struggle with P & L any advise or help with learning this?

I really want to understand more about account management, P&L, Promotional mechanics and Calculating margin. i am starting out on my account management career... So any advice or answers to my question would be appreciated and very helpful
As i said i currently work in this position. i have always done field based sales but am now starting to look after head office based accounts i work within fmcg so my P&L for instance is for promotional budgets not general business P&L. So i devise promotions that run within supermarkets etc i just wanted possible advise on how i can better my financial accumen
What would be the courses that are available????

unless you have an accountancy qualification or at least a bit of an idea on what you are doing i don't think you are going to get much work!
