How can a person do this kind of Job?
Asked by eric53
I have a brother that worked underground mining for 35 years and retired. After his retirement being he was only 60, he took on a full time job at another mine. So he gets full pension from his first job and full time pay for his second job. How can a person enjoy Digging Like a Mole all their life?

It's a fever and a camaraderie one gets, and it's a manly man thing too, I guess. There's a thrill, a dare-devil thing about being so far underground. They will risk there very lives. I don't think is is as exciting as it was back when. The mining industry, especially in coal, will take a significant dive, thanks to Obama
