anyone have any tips i just got a new job as an inside sales consultant for a paper distributor?

i jus was wondering if anyone that is familar with the paper industry if you have any sales tips or jus some tips in general

Watch "The Office"

its mostly a who you know game and knowing how to pull the strings of thoes people.
this may mean spending your first week or so mostly having meetings outside of work with as many contacts but its worth it as they will then provide a realiable source of constant sales.
one last thing is to watch out for anyone else in the same office trying to move in on your contacts as it happens esp when you add commission to the equation, so dont be suprised if bob in the cube next to you jumps in as soon as you make a misteak to try to steal your contact.
besides that i hope you do well and try not to stress out too much or you will hate your job and go crazy (yes like the people in the show "the office")
