What does a Shipping/Receiving Clerk do?

I am going to apply at this one company that needs a person for that. Please help. Thank you.

Well, he or she may weigh packages, assign the right postage to them, could possibly need to lift packages (I'm sure they'll tell you if you do as there will be a certain maximum weight for safety reasons), probably will keep track of shipments on the computer log...might do some actual packaging (sometimes jobs can overlap; technically a clerk probably wouldn't package, but in several companies I've worked at, shipping "clerks" did both).
