Is an internship necessary for a career in graphic design?
Asked by Tanya B
I am wondering if it is possible to obtain a good job in the graphic design field without first completing an internship? Is the portfolio that i will get out of school going to be enough?

I don’t think that you need to do any internship to build your graphic design career. Opt for freelancing career and be your own boss, I advise you to create an effective portfolio on various freelance websites. I can suggest you some websites like LimeExchange.com, crowdspring.com, Logofactory.com etc. they have a design work module where you can provide your designs and by community voting you can also get some interesting projects. This will help you get some experience through freelancing and also the opportunity to execute some freelance projects while sitting at home.
