Patent Law seems to be really good for engineers (a lot of money there). You got to go to law school though and work really long hours. It pays 200k and up. The highest paid engineers seem to be electrical engineers. But with that said, I think it is far easier to find a job as a civil engineer, mechanical engineer, or industrial engineer. In that order. If I could do it all over again, I would become a civil engineer. It sounds like a lot of fun. And getting a job is a piece of cake. You can live anywhere you want, you can just go there and then find a job. Easy. If you are an electrical engineer, it might not be that easy. You kind of have move to where the jobs are at.
