what is the difference between lpn and rn if ur working in a nursing home?

It really depends on the state that you live in. LPNs and rn's have different scopes of practice in different states. In most states the RN will have to sign off on everything, do the initial assessments, and push iv meds.
Check your states scope of practice for lpn's and Rn's on your states board of nursing web site.
