Good sign or bad sign?
Asked by Prin
I started a new job with the ambulance service 3 days ago along with 4 others. I found out today my boss has requested I work all the same shifts as her next week on the same vehicle. I have not worked with her yet and find it odd she would specifically request to work with me. My theory is someone has told her I am either really good or really bad at my new job. Is its a good thing or a bad thing that my boss wants me to work with her? Should i be worried?

I doubt that it's good. Maybe your boss wants you to work with her because your better than other people. Don't be worried. Your going to be fine. (: -LolitsLexie. <3

umm, dont be worried, just do the job best u can, it can be that she might want to get to know you, or it could be that shes wants to watch for mistakes.
Answered by greenweed14

A:
ummm could be both! Just be on your best behavior and if she did it because she may be attracted to you, don't go there until you have worked there much much longer

A:
Maybe she just wants to show you some things. I definitely don't think bad. Most likely either good or it's just some additional training she wants you to have. If you were bad do you really think you would be working on an ambulance? No. Don't worry.

it could go either way, however they may have some observation requirements for new hires so it may mean nothing in particular

A:
I don't think that's a particularly a bad sign. Perhaps the 3 other people you started with have more prior experience than you and she wants to work with you to be able to supervise you, so to speak. She might be working one week with each of you individually and you happened to be first. Maybe she thinks you're sexy. Who knows? :P You'll be alright.

There really is no way to know since you are so new at the job, but what I would do is not to worry and just do my job. Good luck to you! :o)

I am a Paramedic and I would say that someone has said something. Good or bad it doesn't matter. If you know your stuff and you are great with patients, then you should consider it a fantastic opportunity to let your boss see what a great medic you are. Most people have to wait to show off their good skills. You are in luck...unless you are not a good medic and then you are still in luck. Your boss would see that you need more training and the people you would have treated would not be cared for by someone in need of more training. Just look forward to next week and show what you know. Good luck.
