Finish high school. Get a job in a small family owned restaurant (not a corporate food factory) even while you're in school if you can. Be willing to work and do anything for them. Wash dishes, sweep up, whatever they need. Keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open. Do your best at everything you do, and let folks know what you are trying to do. Good luck and have a wonderful time.

Graduate high school; look at Culinary Schools and remember because you may do well in a kitchen, the speed and pressure of a fast paced kitchen will be extremely high tension.

There are two paths in culinary arts (that's the fancy name for cooking):
1. Culinary school
2. Work
Without money, I suggest finding work. Be thrilled to get any job in a restaurant. Don't be upset if you're hired to clean the toilets. It's relevant.
