Advice for someone who has their first job interview?
Asked by BreezeGirl
I am going to start looking for a job soon, but before I do I have a few questons. This will be my first job so:
How should I conduct myself during a job interview?
What are possible questions I may be asked?
What should I include in a resume?
Are there any basic things I should know?
And how should I go about scheduling a job interview?
If it matters I am looking for a position as an assistant child care teacher (I will be certified soon and have some experience volunteering with children).

Best Answer:
At the interview:
-Make good eye contact
-Avoid nervous laughs
-Wear nice clothing, but do not go overboard
-Show up 5 minutes early
They might ask you questions like:
-What do you think your 3 best qualities are?
-What is something about yourself that you would like to improve upon?
-They also might ask you how you would respond to a customer if they act rudely.
If you have any volunteer work at all, then make sure to include it in your job history. That made the difference for me getting my first job.
Make it clear to the interviewer that you know how to interact with many different types of people, especially children. Even though you have never had a job, you can still let the interviewer know that you are responsible.
To get an interview, give the company a call a couple days after you send in an application.

Well I believe your resume already sent to company. so just make one more copy in case they need it. If you did not sent your resume there in advance then you should prepare a nice and fit resume that including all professional, style, paper, and key works from the job openning.
