What should the desired salary be for a semi formal restaurant be, if the starting salary for a grocery store in the same area is $7.50? My friend is 17 and it'd be his first job.

What would his job be? Waiter, Prep cook, Cook, loader/unload-er, etc Waiter = My mom for Fatz there pay check is $4.50/hour + tips (they get good pay because of the tips) Prep Cook = (her job) she get 450~600/week
