Asked by Mrs Fluffypants
Be used in another career? I have my associates in medical assisting , however, I do not want to be in the medical field any more. Can my associates be applied to another career like teachers assistant?

I think most schools allow 18 credits to be transferred, but some would be treated as electives.as far as spammers who delete your question goes, you can report them, but always write in the specific reason for the violation. You will do lots of people a favor. Good Luck to you.

No. You have a degree in the Medical field, not in teaching. You could probably be a teachers assistant anyway though. Having a degree doesn't hurt your chances, but the two have nothing to do with each other. You could probably sign up for a few more classes related to the specific job you are trying to get and it may not take too long.

IF everyone here reported these spammers (the same ones appear over & over on the business section) they might go away (more than just a thumbs down! REPORT).
Anyway, you still have an associates degree; so you would not need another. You would have to take some classes specific to the teachers assistant requirements, but not start all over, as the general education pre-reqs are the same. Talk to a CC that offers that certificate and see what you would have to do to convert.
