Are there any hospital positions that will train you on the spot?
Asked by iknowalicecooper
I would love to work in the medical field (even something simple like drawing blood) but I don't have the time or money for schooling. I know a lot of nursing homes will send you to school for free, but I have no interest in wiping old peoples butts. I'm wondering if there are any positions in hospitals that you don't need previous experience or schooling for.

some medical assistants are trained on the job right out of high school. but more and more they're requiring a diploma on medical assisting so it'll be rare in a while. the pay is anywhere between 20k-30k a year

Pretty much all postitions you have to have at least a certificate. How about starting out with cleaning the hospitals. I know they hire maids to work there, maybe the front desk of the hospital, the gift shop, janitorial work. I am taking online classes for 3 different courses. I am doind Medical and Dental Assistant, Medical Transcription, medical claims and billing. They are short online programs and I go to Ashworth College and it is the cheapest college i found so far. good luck!
