Career Advice Please Think i want to take classes for Bookkeeper?

I work for social security and key in numbers all day for Social security number Querying as well as serial numbers for the folders..I do process checks on occasion I was thinking maybe i could take classes for bookkeeping or accounting. Also what is the diffrence in the two jobs??

Bookkeeping is part of Accounting. Ususally Bookkeepers work for smaller companies and do all the different aspects. Accountants may work for larger companies, or independantly as CPA's and tend to specialize in one field. Hope that helps :-)
