Cleaning persons don't often do cooking. If your roommates don't help with the cleaning they should all pitch in to pay for the pro to come in and do it. How about the old quote "Your mother doesn't live here, so clean whatever you dirtied."?

A:
$15 - $20 per hour though it's not too often you need cleaning, cooking, etc. done.

Most cleaners want from around £8-£10 an hour but you need to call for a quote. They may have a policy such as a minimum of two hours cleaning time, just call a few companies and see what they say.

The job should be on a contract basis, not a per hour basis. One possible tip: each of you should pick up your clothes before the cleaner starts. Many cleaners, correctly, think the most important job is to pick up the clutter. Cleaning is impossible if there are magazines and newspapers cluttered about the apartment. You should huddle with your roommates to form a partnership with the cleaner to obtain a "win-win" result.
