How do you work with diverse group of students?
Asked by shulingfong
I was asked during an interview for a teacher's aide position(pre school), all l can came up with was that l had no problem working with students from different cultural backgrounds and had experiences in my previous job. It was just too vague and short. The truth was that 5 year olds will act like 5 year olds no matter of their race/religions, but l didn't say it to the interviewer because it just sound rude. Is there a more eloquent answer?

Best Answer:
Go with something like you love the different cultures that diverse children bring to the group. It allows you to have a cool learning tool as you can investigate with the other children another culture w/o traveling great distances.

a 5 year old is a 5 year old, you are correct! a different cultural background or not. maybe if you say something like you enjoy children of all backgrounds and that you treated them all with love and respect and if you knew of any certain child that had a specific need you tried to make sure that need was met without making the child embarrassed or different.
