Advice to a new Certified Nurses Aide?
Asked by ♥em [future RN]♥
On April 2nd I will be starting my CNA clinics to get my 45 hands on CNA hours.
Does anyone who has their CNA or have had their CNA have any advice on anything? Maybe what to expect or something not taught in the classroom you should do in the nursing home?

Ive been a CNA for three years..what i found makes the job flow a litto easy is have a routine..when you first start you ll see others do there thing and they might say do it like this then do that take it into consideration but...develop your own as long as you have a set routine you ll do okay. i love been a cna its a rewarding career there are those ups and downs you ll have your days. and sad to say some R.N have there nose in the air but stand your ground if you know your right. and ignore coworkers attitudes i mean every job has a person lol as long as you do your job right it will show where it counts YOUR PATIENTS. Just like you i want to be a R.N. just remeber when you are a RN where you came from and remeber you backbone. Good luck!! its alot to take in when start just take a deep breathe and brace yourself you ll do great!

im a cna
clinicals are sooo easy.
the more nervous you are, the more you will doubt yourself.
as far as differences, not to many.
but when you work in a nursing home, you get your own way of doing things, that are not really "by the book"
&
thats okay
