What types of jobs can you get with a social work degree?

I am looking at going to school for a social work degree but wonder what types of jobs besides a social worker can I use the degree for?

There are lots of different directions you can go, hospitals, school districts, insurance companies and non profits like the YMCA or Red Cross. However, I would echo the other person who said that many people in the field have masters degrees. Try and get a job with a company that would pay for your tuition to pursue an advanced degree!

Many therapists have a Master of Social work degree. That requires grad school, of course. You might also work for CPS.
