I am taking medical transcription online classes now...I am taking courses through Ashworth college.its a self paced school so you can get done as little as a couple months up to 2 years...I think itll be easy to find jobs and I really hope i can and that the computers taking over isn't true...I would be afraid to rely on a computer for everything but i don't know..good luck!

My friend's sister is a medical transcriptionist and has recently had her hours cut to almost nothing because of new technology where a computer listens to a doctor's dictation and types the document itself without any help from a human worker. I am just telling you this because I was once considering this as a part-time job until I had two friends tell me of people they knew that had hours cut or were laid off from it. So I have changed my direction.
