Is it possible work as a Surgical Technician and a Radiologic Technologist at the same time?
Asked by jaqui
or maybe a medical technician and a radiologic technologist? i'm interested in both surgery and diagnostics. could you also tell me why this would not be possible? has anyone done it before at all? having two careers and able to do them at the same time, i mean? thanks

That is a complete waste of time. Chose the one you like and be happy. Xray Techs make more anyway. You could be a OR xray tech and work the portable C-arm, but the surgical tech is scrubbed in and sterile, the xray tech is not. gc

Some radiology techs work in the operating room alongside the doctors to take immediate x-rays when needed. The only way I can see this working is if you work part time as a rad tech and part time as a surgical tech.
