Is it scary to work at hotel, restaurant, & Casino?
Asked by momo
Sometimes there might be violent customers like big gangster, and workers have to deal with those people. If they get angry, 5 people might start to hit many times on workers, like waiter If they didn't like the food they might start to attack chef.

It can be. My wife works in one here in Reno. I drive her to the door and wait until she is in the door before I drive away.I refuse to let her drive to work as the employee parking is too far away from security. Over the years several women have been mugged out in the parking lots. A year or so ago some perv followed a girl from the casino to the home where she was staying. He knocked her out and dragged her off. Later her body was found out in a field. She had been raped and murdered.Occasionally a gang will rush into a casino and rob it before anyone can react. Most of the time it's like any other job though. You just have to be aware of your surroundings all the time.

I worked in a large hotel for several years and never came across a situation like this! It may be different in other areas - but do keep in mind there will be security for these eventualities!

Wow, I read one of the answers and was shocked at the lack of security. I worked at a casino for nearly 4 years we did not have any problems like that. It is an Indian casino and on a reservation, some of our guards are armed, we were told signal the camera (security is always watching) I always felt very safe. The difference may be we do not have showgirls (women) so maybe we get a different class of customers. Our waitresses can be from 18 to 60+ If you want to work for a casino, look for one that does not have erotic shows, I would not work in a strip club either, I would be nervous around the clientele
