I have complained about a co worker of mine. If nothing is done can i take legal action?

I have complained to my manager, area manager and human resources about a co worker of mine making racist jokes and calling me names such as a "whore", b*tch, "slut" etc...If nothing is done about this can i take legal action? If so what can i do?

First start documenting when, where, times, etc of the events as they occur. List people who are witnesses. Your company should have a corporate policy against such things. If not, EEO is your backup, as well as many other organizations. I would take all documentation of this persons actions to a lawyer and have them contact your company regarding the matter. You may find that person gets the boot quickly...or you might get a nice settlement package to leave quietly.
