Any tips for getting up and staying up early for work?
Asked by Mommy0308
I have a problem getting up on time and staying up once my alarm goes off in the morning for work. I'm not really a "morning person", but the hours I work are best for me, because I have 2 kids. I really need to overcome this problem because I am late to work entirely too often!! Does anybody have any tips that might help?

i try and become active as soon as the alarm goes off... i get up and run the shower as i am getting my toothpaste on the brush, take it to the shower and once i'm out i'm getting clothes then making breakfast and so on... pretty much don't give yourself a chance to go back to bed or rest because it only takes a second to fall back asleep. i feel more awake when i get to work (i used to get ready slowly and with as little light as possible)

Put your alarm someplace where you'd have to get out of bed to turn it off. Once you're out of bed, you're less likely to go back to bed and go back to sleep... it's much easier to just roll over and hit the snooze (so easy that a lot of people do it in their sleep). This will get you slightly active and should help you get going... Or you can just learn to be mature and just do it. That's how i get up in the morning.
