Registered Dental assistant/Dentist or Massage Therapist?
Asked by UNACTIVE
I'm confused on what job I should focus on. My first career choice was to be a registered nurse but then I decided that was not the job for me so I'm planning on either becoming a registered dental assistant and then studying to become a dentist like 5 years after. My other choice is massage therapy but i'm not really sure. Which job makes more money and which job requires the most education?

Often times a dental assistant is only hired if they are in school to become a hygienist which makes about 60,000 a year. A massage therapist makes about 50,000 a year if working full time. Massage school is very difficult, I am in my last few weeks of Massage school right now. I have a friend who is in school to be a dental hygienist who is already a massage therapist and she has said that massage school is tougher. Both degrees take 2 years to graduate and be ready to take a state licensing exam.
