Please only consider babysitting/child care jobs from people that you know such as family friends or neighbors that your parents feel that they can trust. (Please also still be wary if going to the parents' home.) If one advertises in the local paper, every kind of weirdo can end up calling ;) It's also a good idea to take a babysitting certification course such as those offered through the local hospital for learning basic first aid, providing activities for the children, being mindful of allergies and such. I'm really not sure what the going rate is to charge for child care. Perhaps asking some friends can help you decide on a price and perhaps negotiating as well. Please forgo those work-at-home ads as just about all are scams especially if asking for money upfront or for personal info which can put one at risk for identity theft: http://www.ftc.gov and can click 'identity theft' or such.

if you want to do babysitting advertising then make singes that have those tab things at the bottom with contact info, on the Sign put important info that ppl will be looking for ex. name, age, $per hour, etc... put the signs up around a different area that you think does have lots of children. you should start with paying 5- 10 $ per kid per hour that you do then you can raises your price
