Don't go to college for that, taking medical terminology courses, biology, anatomy would be helpful but they are not paid very much. It would be difficult to justify the cost of school. Get an assoicates in clerical work, or buisness if that's the kind of thing you wnat to do. But please don't waste money on a degree they won't help pay off. Best of luck.

Medical receptionist does not require college, you just need to know how to type, answer phone and know medical terminology. Don't get me wrong college is always good to have. A degree would get you a management position like Medical office manager or Executive administrative assistant, these too don't require college. But a degree will give you the opportunity to make more money and make a different between you getting picked over someone else whose applying for the same position.

why are you setting your bar so low for yourself??? That is a just a regular job, doesnt take much to do that and no room for advancement in the future. They have some little 6 or 9 mo course you can do for this, but you will never be able to comfortably support yourself on your own, you will always need a second income around to make ends meet. Sounds like you are planning to go to college anyway, why not consider becoming a nurse or something with a chance for growth for you.
