i have been working part time now for 12 months. My boss now wants me back on full time. Can I refuse?

I work in the manufacturing sector and am one of the companies managers. The decision to go parttime was a joint one between me and the MD. He is now claiming thew the business needs require I go back full time. Problem is I have no new contract and Iregulary work up to 40 hours anyway with out pay!

Whatever your par-time decision was between the MD and yourself was, unless your original contract has been amended by mutual consent, that's the contract that is still valid and he can hold you to it.
I suggest if you want a different contract you must negotiate a new one between you.
