What is the difference between a Medical Office Receptionist and a Medical Front Office Specialist?
Asked by Latoria K
I am getting ready to start taking courses towards one of these degrees, but before I register, I wanted to know if anyone knew the difference between the two. The only thing that I know is that the MO Receptionst requires four classes and the MO Specialist only requires three. Can anyone tell me the difference?

Well, it would help to know what the extra class is... but really, they're both the Same thing. Is the extra class a medical coding class? a medical billing class? Hmmmm? If that is the case then it will introduce you to the coding/billing aspect of the medical office,,but like I said before, there really won't be much difference between the two certifications. I'd go with the one that has 4 classes.
work in the Health Information department.
