I don't work in a tower, so I can't speak on the previous answer, although I've never seen anyone work local or ground seated unless its dead. I can say I've had experiences where I've had a particularly rough session and my muscles were tense during the push (I'm also one of those controllers who does the leg bounce when I'm busy) and I was too amped up to notice it. Only when I got relieved do I notice the soreness. When I get it, its in my legs and neck/back. I chalk it up to the leg bouncing and constant shift from my scope to strips to keypad.

A:
most likely due to the fact that they sit for long periods of time than muscles tend to shrink when you walk down stairs you stretch them .
