Curious George
Are their any retail stores, that would start me out as a Supervisor based on a college degree?
Asked by Curious George
I have a college degree in Business Administration, but no management experience. Are there any stores who would be willing to make me a supervisor, just based on my degree?

Best Answer:
No. In retail they usually promote based on your performance. Though most upper management job descriptions read that they require a bachelors degree I have found that most people in those positions have been promoted up from within and do not have a degree at all. Being a retail supervisor is very hard work and the best way to find a supervisor in that kind of environment is to see how they do as an associate first. Often you can start in a mid level postion with a college education and will get paid a little more.

Highly unlikely, unless they're really, really desperate.

Sorry, but everybody needs to train for job. Most likely the best you could get would be assistant manager on fast track. Most major companies us fast track - so long at each position as you progress.
