What is a good starting pay for a fulltime employee at Zales?

I've never worked a commission job before, and I am assuming that's how a lot of my pay will be calculated. I live in MA. so our minimum wage is 8 bucks. how much would i ask for if i apply to work at a Zales in the mall? I dont want to be turned down for asking for too much. Thanks!

If you have no experience in sales, ask for the minimum wage - they may start you at a higher wage, and maybe not. Obviously with the economy the way it is now, jewelry is not the most important item for people to buy, so don't expect great sales at least not until the Bridal season starts (prob. May or June)
