How can i get a housekeeping job at Hotel?
Asked by bigcheeks
I am having trouble finding an easy job that pays reasonably well.I don't have a college degree. I have tried to apply to cleaning agencies but they require at least 6 months of professional cleaning experience. Does anyone know how I can get a cleaning job? or have any connections that they are willing to share.

If you want a housekeeping job at a motel, go and apply at various motels in your area. That would be a good way to get experience. You could also start up your own house cleaning business, print out some business cards and hand them out in your neighborhood. (Plan your prices. I used to get paid $50 for a general cleaning, such as cleaning bathrooms, vaccuum, dusting, mopping kitchens and counter wipe down, maybe cleaning glass on sliding glass door. I didn't do dishes or laundry or catboxes. ) At least until you have build up some experience and recommendations. (Do check keep a mileage booklet and check with a tax professional on how to be self-employed like that.) Or see if any local business are hiring individuals for janitorial services. Check also with local schools.
