How many words per minute do you need to become a medical transcriptionist?
Asked by Lauren A
Is there a required number of words typed a minute for transcriptionist jobs in a hospital? I'm considering going into medical transcription, but my average is in between 40-50, 55 if I get into it. Will I be able to keep up?

I have heard you need a typing speed over 35 but with 2 errors. Most hospitals ans doctors hire private people to due transcription at home.
