Does the Truck Driving curriculum at Job Corps award a CDL License?
Asked by JB
Does the Truck Driving curriculum at Job Corps award a CDL License? If so, which one?

A:
Best Answer:
CDL licenses are state issued. An example: In North Carolina CDL licenses are issued by the N.C. Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). There are 3 parts you must complete: 1. A "Commercial Driver Fitness Determination" (medical exam). If you pass this you receive a Medical Examiner's certificate. 2. Written test. 3. On-road driving test. The Job Corps "heavy truck driving" program should prepare you to take the written and on-road test. Call 1-800-733-5627 for additional Job Corps information.
