I work part-time as a security guard on the night shift. Some locations like hospitals are always busy. My office building is very quiet. I am essentially a babysitter for the building. If there is a power outage or a late hours visitor, I'm there. Also, the business gets a substantial insurance break because we have a person on site 24 hours a day. It's kind of dull, but the job does serve a purpose. Welcome aboard!

You would probably just be patrolling the mall and making sure no one was still there...

The same stuff that is guarded during the day is the same stuff guarded at night. Good luck obtaining your guard card.

I think it depends where you are going to be working. Sometimes you guard money, equipment, people. Does it say in the job listing? If not try calling the company and get more job info. Good luck :0).
