Requirements to be a Pharmacy Technician in New York?

Do you need to have a degree to be Pharmacy Technician in New York? I'm a Pre-Pharmacy student and would like to get experience working in a Pharmacy. How long does it take to become a Pharmacy Technician?

I don't think NY has any requirements to work as a pharm tech. As long as you can work legally, you can be a pharm tech.
