Career Questions and Answers
Electrician or Auto Mechanic??which is a better career choice?
Asked by SQ
Hi, I am currently 28 looking to change careers. I have an economics degree and have worked in the office environment. I have come to the conclusion that I hate working behind a desk and would love a career in the skilled trades. I love solving problems, figuring things out and taking on different challenges everyday. Having these things in mind, electricians and auto mechanic's have caught my attention. I wanted some advice as to which is a better career choice? future outlook?stability? and the pro's and cons?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks for your time

If you love to get your hands dirty and you have a nack for cars then auto mechanic.
If you want to do more of a cleaner job and can understand electronic circuitry then electronics tech, classes do not take that long as there are so many avenues in that field,
But everone also needs their cars fixed, especially since no one is buying a new one.
Hope it helps
Good question

They're on the same idea, since you can't decide take the one that pays more, why not! Good luck my friend.
