How much do medical technologists and medical technicians make?
Asked by Ferasha
I am doing my prerequisites for the medical technician program. I was just wondering, how much does a medical technician make (associates) and how much does a medical technologist make (bachelors). Thanks everyone =)

Best Answer:
The mean salary for Medical laboratory technicians (MLTs) in the US is between $27K and $40K annually and between $40K and $60K annually for Medical Technologists (MTs) (typically $13-15/hr. starting out for MLTs and $18-20/hr. for new MTs). You can expect higher salaries in areas with high costs of living like southern California and New York. Salaries should continue to climb as a result of the growing shortage of medical laboratory personnel.
