Education. GENERALLY, a Paralegal has a degree (usually a Bachelors) from a college/university. A Legal Assistant usually has gotton there by experience, maybe a few classes, maybe some informal education. I am hoping that you do realize that ANY further investment of time and/or money in a job in the field of Law isn't a good idea. Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is a rapidly SHRINKING vocational field!! Many reasons. We have a GLUT of Legal Professonals! If you don't believe me, just do a SEARCH on Yahoo Answers regarding this - check out what the other posters are saying about the field of Law.
life been there - done that been in the field of Law for twelve years also am an employee of a law school, so I KNOW (too much?!?) wish someone had warned ME sooner............... so now I try to warn/help as many as possible (that will listen)......... (tired of watching students getting ripped off by law schools)
