It would depend on where you work. In your big cities your going to make more money. If you have to carry a weapon as I did you will make more money. I average about 26k a year this was part time for me. It also depends on what the company is making, if jewelry or money is involved then you'll make better money.
I learned all of this in my training to be a security officer. Each state and town is different. Of course the security company that you work for is key also.
